The quest takes place in the Chaos Sanctuary
- Details :
You will get this quest when you talk to Tyrael after finishing the second quest of the Act.
He will tell you that the time has come to kill Diablo, and that you are the lucky one to do it!
Diablo is found in the Chaos Sanctuary and to get there you have to leave the Pandemonium Fortress into the Outer Steppe, the Plains of Despair, the City of the Damned, the River of Flame and finally past Hadriel into the Chaos Sanctuary.
When you reach the place where Diablo is, you will see 5 seals. One is positioned alone while the others are positioned in coulpes. You have to open all five of the seals before Diablo will appear. Behind the 5 seals are Infector of Souls (extra fast, spectral hit), Lord De Seis (extra fast, thieving, aura enchanted) who has the ability to steal potions from your belt and Grand Vizier of Chaos (extra strong, fire enchanted).
When you approach and touch the first couple of seals one of the tree unique bosses above and it's minions will appear. Kill him and his minions.
When you've killed him, touch the other couple of seals and another unique boss of the ones above will appear together with it's minions. Kill them too
The final seal will make the last of the above bosses appear, so touch it and kill them all!
When you've killed the third and final unique boss, Diablo will appear near his portal! This is the moment you've been waiting for! Go Kill Him!
Diablo has a 50 percent resistance to fire, lightning, cold and a 75 percent resistance to poison.
He also has a claw wipe attack that sometimes freeze you, a fire cirle attack ( Fire Nova? ), a fire chain attack and a lightning snake attack. He also has the possiblilty to cast Bone Cage but he rarely does it, but if you cast a town portal nearby he might cast Bone Cage on the town portal to trap you in it when you get back from town. Not very nice ;).
When you've killed him he will drop some nice equipment, and you have 80 seconds to do whatever you want to do before you'll get your reward which is a nice cinematic and the joy of beating Diablo II. If you have some time left you can talk to Cain and Tyrael.
But remember, the game is not over. You now have the option to play in Hardcore and Nightmare mode.
